Habe kürzlich bei #nd von dem "Linken Newsaggregator #Alerta" gelesen: https://www.nd-aktuell.de/artikel/1189724.linke-medien-app-linke-vielfalt-auf-dem-handy.html

Die Idee zur APP ist grundsätzlich cool, insbesondere da es linke, unabhängige Medien eine Plattform gibt. Das ganze scheint mehr oder minder auf #RSS Feeds zu basieren, also offene Schnittstellen nutzt und nicht Algorithmus getrieben ist. Die Auswahl linker Medien ist dabei ebenfalls recht umfassend! Ich habe sogar einige neue Blogs & Organisationen entdeckt.

Schade hingegen: die App ist voll von Tracking (u.a. Meta/Facebook & Google: https://reports.exodus-privacy.eu.org/de/reports/de.alerta_app.alerta/latest/

Eine IMO bessere Variante der App: ein handelsüblicher RSS Reader (für #Android z.B. Feeder), der dann selbst mit linken Medien gefüllt wird. Man kann sich hier durchaus von der Alerta-Liste inspirieren lassen, denn die Auswahl ist echt gut. Aber darüber hinaus kann man dann auch beliebig andere (auch englischsprachige News, die in Alberta fehlen) hinzufügen. Und das absolut Tracking- und Werbefrei.

Tonight, we had a #Saarland classic: Schaales (the term "Dibbelappes" is more common, but I prefer the former and where I am from, there is indeed a difference between both dishes). Here with leek, smoked tofu chunks and of course applesauce #vegan

Because I am making some use of #S3 #ObjectStorage for both file storage and smaller backups, I am looking for #FOSS #Android Apps that can not only sync/put files to S3, but also gather data from there.

Is there anything like that out there? On #FDroid I only found two apps that can put data on S3 in a backup-style fashion. But I have not found an application that can download from there.

Been to Alexander Kunz Theatre in Saarbrücken last night with my family. It has been super entertaining and the #vegan menu was of course really good! Here are some food-impressions:

Image description 3: A plate filled with a small serving of three types of gnocchi and different vegetables with a creamy sauce.

It has been a while since I worked on #serci, but here is a new feature, I've been thinking about for a while but didn't have time to implement it until today: Extended options for search engines.

This is actually quite a small (but IMO useful) feature that let's serci parse additional text to the search engine, besides the search term. Or, as another way to think about it, it gives the user more options to tell serĉi your intent. Options are added to the keyword with the ":" separator.

Say, you want to search explicitly on the German version of Wikipedia. You can do that now with !wp:de

Or you want to translate from German to Italian with DeepL. Just use !deepl:de/it
