This is rich following a year where technical experts have been screaming their heads off about #ChatControl being awful and weakening #GDPR and other citizen protections in order to please the AI companies is terrible.
It is no longer acceptable that lawmaker sit in the corner and discuss with the lobbyists.

The EU culture you are actually establishing:
- Mass surveillance ( #ChatControl, #dataretention, #omnibus )
- Threatening the access to free information, communication and journalism ( #ChatControl again)
- Society of digital control in the interest of big tech corporations and authoritarian institutions (#digitalidentity, #europol)
- Drowing people in the mediterranean and letting them suffer and die at EU borders (#Frontex)
- Reckless Militarism, authoritarianism, neonationalism and neoliberalism, normalisation of corruption and lobbyism in and by your postdemocratic institution.
Nope, that's definitely no culture or vision worth to fight for. Quite the opposite actually.

Even if Germany opposes Chat Control on October 14th, this is still only a blocking minority. If your country is still undecided or is supporting Chat Control, keep the pressure on! 💪🇪🇺

3. Geplante Massenüberwachung: [Signal,] Whatsapp und Threema strikt gegen Chatkontrolle

The EU wants to backdoor E2EE. 🚨
Under the #ChatControl law, all of your online messages would be scanned before encryption.
This is mass surveillance that poses a direct threat to democracy

🇬🇧The latest #ChatControl proposal is more extreme than the failed 2024 version: AI is to classify our photos as “suspicious”, secure #encryption is to be destoyed, indiscriminate mass scanning of our private chats.
Make sure your government opposes! https://chatcontrol.wtf

🇬🇧🚨 Under Danish leadership, #ChatControl is to be adopted as early as October 14! https://www.parlament.gv.at/dokument/XXVIII/EU/26599/imfname_11492795.pdf (p. 31)
The decisive factor is Germany: neither Conservatives nor Socialists have yet declared digital privacy of correspondence and secure encryption to be a red line.
