On some days, simple #soulfood is where it's at #vegan

Playing with #Wayfire for the past few days brought back a lot of memories about distro-hopping during the past 11 years of using #Linux.

Although in the meantime I'm not playing with my system(s) so often anymore and pretty much settled on #Debian with the #GNOME desktop (both at work and at home), It is fun to tinker with a minimal compositor like Wayfire again. I'll keep it on my private laptop for a while :) #Wayland

Image description 2: Wayfire's virtual desktop overview showing 6 virtual desktops in 2 rows. On the first desktop in the upper left, one can see a browser window drafting this very post. On the fifth desktop in the lower center is a terminal window showing the cava music visualiser in pink on a black background, which is very similar to the desktops background image.

3.5 books in, I have to recharge my #ebooks-reader I got at the start of December last year. I wish my other devices were so extremely battery efficient

My partner made #vegan hotdogs wrapped in dough ("Hotdogs im Teigmantel"), so I am having a little treat on this Saturday morning #food #coffee

Some fancy breakfast this morning with menemen, juice, my favorite black tea, freshly baked bread and olives 馃尡 #food #vegan

There is that one odd #podcast I like which is only available on #youtube, which of course can not be inserted into my podcatcher OOTB.

So I wrote a little #PHP-script which refactors youtube's #rss into podcast rss-feed and fetches audio of video-entries on-demand via #ytdlp. It is not quite finished (for example, video-descriptions as well as channel-images are not fully implemented yet), but it is already functional. I use it with @AntennaPod without any issues.

Not sure, if this is too niche, but in case anyone else has a use for that: https://codeberg.org/jayvii/yt2rss

Looks like Haymarketbooks uses a (very) soft version of ebook DRM: they put the buyer's name and e-mail adress on the second page of the book (after the cover). So the book i just bought there now has a very weird addy.io of mine on the second page

#Linux users, particularly #Debian & #Ubuntu: are you going to switch to #Mozilla's own #Firefox repository? Are you already using their snap or flatpak release? Or are you sticking to the binaries provided by your distro's maintainers?
