@lauren I have been begging people to leave gmail for years...I have mentioned #protonmail which has served me well, and I use several search engines - #DuckDuckGo, #Mojeeck, #StartPage, #Metager - No #tracking - #privacy even a bit of privacy, is better than none. Folks, please leave the #BigTech ecosystem asap. We are here, so that is a huge step. #facebook, #instagram, #TikTok are just as perilous for everyone, even more now post election. Lately, I've been using @MetaGer #MetaGer as my main #SearchEngine, but had been really missing bangs (known from #DuckDuckGo and other search engines).
So this morning I threw together a short #PHP site that I could use as search front, which handles bangs and redirects me to the correct search engine (is this meta-meta? ;D):
